Education Days 2008 - Tweetsie's
"Learning Express"

Take your students on a trip back in time! Tweetsie's "Learning Express" provides a unique opportunity for teachers to make history, math & science both memorable and fun. For many years now, students have been able to study our historic steam locomotive and the importance of the East Tennessee & Western North Carolina Railroad (ET&WNC) in textbooks.

With the "Learning Express", students at all grade levels can do more than read about it - they can experience it first hand! The end result is a history, math and science lesson your students will never forget!

Purchase of an "Education Days" daily admission ticket gives you a full day of fun at Tweetsie Railroad including the opportunity to take a ride on our "Learning Express" Train, that pulls out of Main Street at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm daily.

Our 2008 "Education Days" will be offered the first four Fridays in May (May 2, 9, 16 & 23) and again every Friday after Labor Day through October 31 (September 5, 12, 19, 26, & October 3, 10, 17, 24 & 31).

Tweetsie Railroad is partnering with Letterland in 2008!  Due to the success of last year's event, we are expanding Letterland to a three day event - May 9, 16 & 23.  Contact our Group Sales Office to make your reservation or to learn more about Letterland at Tweetsie Railroad

Tweetsie Railroad's "Education Days" can be enjoyed by anyone in the park, regardless of group size. However, to receive our special Group Rate, there must be 20 or more paying Guests in your group and you must make a reservation at least 24 hours in advance. That our "Education Days" curriculum guides offer a variety of alignments to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study and were designed to help you as an educator reinforce the science, math and social studies treasures your students will discover on your trip to Tweetsie Railroad?
